LITTLE WHITE FOOTSTEPS

Painting the hall has gone ever so quick this week with the help of a very brave assistant this time. Finding little white footsteps allover the house were just a minor detail considering the time that was saved.....ahum!

X-MAS WALL TREE

This year the Xmas tree is made of WOOL and fluorescent tape. You can easily make it anywhere in your home as long as you have an empty wall somewhere. The decorations i bought on my travels to Nepal (wooden figures) and China (flower + pearl garland) and India (horse). The felt snowflakes are from Ikea and the crochet potholders from a restaurant shop.
The 2 small silver cut-out ornament and heart are designs from my friend Eline. On the cabinet lies a crosstitch cloth from a vintage shop.
PIN TREE!
It's oh so nice to see enthusiastic reactions from people on PINTEREST! Hope the tree can be an inspiration for some for next year's holiday season. And how great it would be if the kids at school could make one to display all the cute stuff they made! I had not even thought about that, wonderful idea by Katie Heaps!

FAMOUS GIRLS

I came across the brilliant illustrations of these famous girls made by Katja Spitzer, they are so cute!
I also love her funny little doodles!! i case you wonder what doodles are exactly:

doodle is an unfocused drawing made while a person's attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes. Stereotypical examples of doodling are found in school notebooks, often in the margins, drawn by students daydreaming or losing interest during class. Other common examples of doodling are produced during long telephone conversations if a pen and paper are available.( info Wikipedia)

XMAS BOOKPARTY!

In my friend Eline's 2nd interior book, a beautiful illustrated guide for making your own home decorations, i participated designing the sweets and cakes with their recipies. (see my earlier post :-)
Preparations for the party started on the monday before on which i helped Eline decorating the location in Veenendaal and setting the special X-mas table. We had a lot of fun that day! including my two little monsters (doggies).
On wednesday the 30th, the day of the actual bookparty, many people were invited to see the works from the book in 3D.
They were also treated with new inspiration from the decorated X-mas table. Yes! the entire team had created their own plate space..all kinds of very nice handwork!
Later that day great news was given by the publisher: The book will be translated and published in english in june 2012!
my toffee sugar sweets

Above 3 photo's made by the book photographer Joost de Wolf himself!
